Al Nashama Park Attracts Thirty-Thousand Visitors In 3 Days

(MENAFN) The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) said that Al Nashama Park in Marj Al Hamam attracted around 30,000 visitors within three days of its opening on Tuesday, highlighting strong public engagement with the new recreational site.

The park covers approximately 56 dunums and was designed as a modern public space combining landscaped green areas with facilities for leisure, sports, and family activities. Municipal officials noted that around 40% of the park is dedicated to green space, alongside playgrounds, walking paths, seating areas, and amenities designed to be accessible for people with disabilities.

The site includes running and cycling tracks, outdoor fitness equipment, and parking facilities. It operates daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with authorities encouraging visitors to help maintain cleanliness and preserve public property.

The project was inaugurated earlier in the week by the Prime Minister, who praised the rapid completion timeline and emphasized the importance of maintaining public infrastructure. Officials said the park was named “Al Nashama” in recognition of Jordan’s national football team’s achievement in qualifying for the FIFA World Cup.

An adjacent building at the site is planned to house government and tourism-related institutions, including the Ministry of Tourism and Environment and the Jordan Tourism Board.
